Build a six‑figure career in the trades.
Skip the degree, keep the earnings. A published pay ladder, paid training through CoatPro Academy, and a straight path from trainee to running your own crew across South East Queensland.
Built on doing the job properly the first time.
CoatPro delivers premium concrete sealing, spraycrete resurfacing, epoxy and protective coatings across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast. Driveways, pool surrounds, patios, warehouses, commercial floors: our reputation rides on every one of them.
That standard takes skilled people, so we built the company around developing them. Come here to get seriously good at a trade, earn properly while you learn it, and take on real responsibility as fast as you can prove you're ready. This page sets out the deal.
Four promises, and everything else is built around them.
Earn
A published pay ladder from your first day to running a crew, with a real path to six figures. The better you get, the more you earn.
Master
Paid, structured training through CoatPro Academy across sealing, spraycrete, epoxy, grinding and densification. Leave every year more capable than you started it.
Lead
Prove competency and responsibility comes early: running jobs, training juniors, then building a crew of your own with your name on its results.
Live
Organised schedules, quality gear, a team that rewards output rather than hours filled, and an annual team experience worth talking about all year.
Trainee to crew leader, with the pay in the open.
Every level has a published earnings band, defined skills, and clear requirements to step up. You should always be able to answer three questions here: where am I now, what's next, and what exactly gets me there.

It keeps going from there. CoatPro is expanding across South East Queensland, and as new regions open, the people who lead them will come off this ladder.
Every band starts above the award.
Concrete coating work is covered by the Building and Construction On-site Award, which sets the legal minimum for each level of the trade. Here's roughly where those minimums sit next to what CoatPro pays.
Award figures are approximate full-time base rates for a standard 38-hour week at the nearest classification under the Building and Construction General On-site Award (MA000020) as at 1 July 2026, before overtime, penalties and allowances. For context, the national minimum wage is about $52K. Exact entitlements depend on classification and hours worked.
CoatPro Academy.
Structured, paid training, on the tools and off them. You'll build skills across four areas:
- Spraycrete
- Epoxy systems
- Concrete sealing
- Grinding and densification
- Surface prep and moisture diagnosis
- Crack and joint treatment
- Product selection
- Job costing
- Material management
- Estimating
- Productivity
- Understanding gross profit
- Customer communication
- Site presentation
- Expectation management
- Complaint resolution
- Job handover
- Running a crew
- Training employees
- Job planning
- Delegation
- Quality assurance
Each level is a demonstrated competency standard, assessed on real work, and each one lifts your pay, your responsibility and your bonus potential. Become competent on epoxy, the grinder or spraycrete, run jobs solo, or train another applicator, and your pay moves with it.
Put in 24 months with CoatPro and we fund an agreed industry qualification or certification: trade quals, equipment tickets, WHS, manufacturer certifications, leadership training. Your payslip grows here, and so does your resume.

- Running on-site quotes: measure ups, surface assessment, scope discussion
- Writing accurate estimates and proposals using our quoting system
